Joyce Constien, 91, of Greene, passed away peacefully at her home, Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 8, 2024, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Greene.

Joyce Constien, 91, of Greene, passed away peacefully at her home, Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 8, 2024, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Greene, with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery, Greene. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Woodley Funeral Home and Crematory of Greene is caring for Joyce and her family.

Joyce May Constien was born December 21, 1932, at Park Hospital in Mason City, a daughter of Charles Jr. and Helen (Hutchison) Otto. She was educated at Rockford Public School, graduating in 1951. She was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church, Rockford.

She worked as a telephone operator in Rockford prior to her marriage on April 1, 1953, to Francis Henry Constien at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mason City.

Joyce was a homemaker and devoted mom. Her family, children and grandchildren meant the most to her. For many years with Francis, she cleaned St. Peter Lutheran Church. She enjoyed polka shows on TV as well as westerns, The Waltons and Perry Mason.

Family includes her son: David (Sherri) Constien, Greene; grandchildren: Eddie (PK) Christopherson and Travis (Carla) Christopherson; and great-granddaughter Mollie Christopherson.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband in 1990, son Michael (Pam Yezek), daughter Linda (Jay) Amundson.
