Reyna (Aguilar) Guerrero, 62, of Hampton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Franklin General Hospital. Woodley Funeral Home of Hampton is caring for Reyna and her family.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 18, 2024, at Woodley Funeral Home in Hampton with a one-hour prior visitation. Father Kevin Earleywine will be officiating with burial to follow at Hampton Cemetery.
Reyna was born September 6, 1961, in San Luis Potosí, Mexico to Filegonio and Francisca (Castillo) Aguilar. Reyna and Lupe Guerrero were united in marriage on January 31, 1978, in Clarksville, TX. They later moved to Hampton, IA to start their family.
She recently worked at Sheffield Care Center; proudly working as a housekeeper. She was a hard-worker and enjoyed her time with co-workers and residents.
Family was everything to Reyna. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren. She loved cheering them on at wrestling meets, volleyball, football, and softball games. She was SO proud of her children and grandchildren.
In her spare time, her hobbies included: taking walks, decorating her home for every holiday, gardening, interior decorating, shopping with her daughter, and watching her favorite novellas. She absolutely loved the color pink, anything with leopard print and her Hoka shoes. Reyna enjoyed pampering herself with getting her hair and nails done.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Lupe Guerrero of Hampton; eldest son, Lupe Guerrero and daughter-in-law, Melissa Guerrero, grandkids: Tytan, Telissa, Leyna, and Drake Guerrero all of Williamsburg, IA; son, Jaime Guerrero and daughter-in-law, Dawn Guerrero of Marion, IA; daughter, Angelica Guerrero and son-in-law, Duke Plumley of Waterloo, IA; youngest son, Oscar Guerrero and grandsons Ronan and Lorenzo Guerrero.
She is also survived by her father, Filegonio Aguilar; brothers and sisters: Leno, Raymondo, Mario, Lio, Lupe, Juana, and Petra Aguilar.
Reyna was preceded in death by her mother, Francisca Castillo Aguilar and her brothers Benson and Ezekiel Aguilar.
She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
