MARSHALLTOWN – An Iowa man is dead and another injured after a two car accident in Marshall county on Friday.
According to a report, at about 3:41 PM Friday afternoon, a 2000 Dodge Caravan driven by 37-year-old William Baumeier of Liscomb, Iowa, was traveling west bound on 160th Street when it crossed the center line and collided with a Freightliner Straight Truck driven by 48-year-old Michael Peavey of Maxwell, Iowa.
The Dodge Caravan rotated around, coming to rest on its top, while the straight truck came to rest in the south ditch.
Baumeier was fataly injured and pronounce dead at the scene by a medical examiner. Peavey was transported to a Marshalltown hospital.
