MASON CITY – Phase 2 of the sanitary sewer improvement project is progressing as scheduled, according to city officials.
Paving of the streets will be done today (Monday) on South Federal at 10th Street and tomorrow on South Federal at 8th Street.
Both the northbound and southbound lanes of South Federal Avenue between South 8th and 10th Streets will remain single lane for the remainder of this week.
Please exercise caution while traveling near or in the work zone. Expect congestion and delays around this area while the street is under construction. Be watchful of construction workers and equipment if you are traveling near the work zone. Motorists are urged to avoid traveling in this area and plan an alternate if possible. Staff apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
