OBIT: Darcy Lynn Boerner

Darcy Lynn Boerner, age 60 of Buffalo Center, IA, passed away Sunday, September 11th, 2022.

Darcy was born January 7th, 1962 to Edwin Boerner and Carol Myers in Albert Lea, Minnesota. Many who knew her will recall the stories she told of her childhood and the adventures she took throughout her youth. Darcy was known for her love of traveling, her spontaneous endeavors, her love for animals, and her caring personality. She was always known to take care of people in need and willing to give her time to others.

Darcy was also known for many accomplishments but if you knew her, her biggest accomplishments were her kids and she took pride in watching them grow and evolve into the women they are today. She enjoyed watching soap operas, playing games on her tablet, shopping, and spending time with her family. Darcy also had a love for windchimes, gardening and decorating for her favorite holiday; Christmas. Darcy was unpredictable, and full of life. She made an impact on many and will always be remembered as everyone’s “Auntie”.

She is survived by her two daughters, Shamea Harris and Shaelynn Boerner; her husband, Nick Pete; brothers, Aaron Hann and Scott Myers; many nieces and nephews and everyone who she took in as her own throughout her life.

Darcy is preceded in death by her mother, Carol Myers; father, Edwin Boerner; and sister, Vicky Boerner-Ulofoshio.
