DES MOINES – A group of Grafton area Girl Scouts got to quiz a state official on Wednesday. They were taking part in the annual Girl Scout Day on the Hill and met with Senate Majority Leader Mike Gronstal.
The students and the Senator agreed that doing more to help early elementary students learn to read is a better idea than flunking third graders who fail a reading test. From left to right: Madeline Neuman, Molly Krahenbuhl, Senator Gronstal, and Taylor Stricker.
