
WEST DES MOINES – An Iowa teen was killed and another injured in an auto crash on Interstate 35 in the Des Moines metro area Tuesday night.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, the crash took place Tuesday, May 3, in West Des Moines near Mills Civic Parkway on Interstate 35. At 10:40 PM, Marshall McManus, age 17 of Urbandale, and his 18-year-old Gracie Crow of Norwalk were in a 2010 Mini Cooper southbound on I-35; McManus was driving. At the same time, a 2013 International dump truck was southbound on the inside shoulder conducting maintenance duties when the Mini Cooper struck the rear of the dump truck.
As a result of the collision, Marshall McManus was killed. Gracie Crow was injured and taken by ambulance to a hospital with serious injuries.
