CLEAR LAKE – A Minnesota man now in the Cerro Gordo County Jail has pleaded not guilty to charges of 1st degree kidnapping and attempted murder involving an alleged victim in Clear Lake.
Albert Mesenbrink, age 62 of Vadnais Heights, Minnesota, pled not guilty on May 27th. He will face a jury trial on July 15, 2014 with judge Rustin Davenport presiding.
The Clear lake Police Department began investigating an assault in conjunction with Minnesota authorities that occurred on April 20, 2014 involving a Clear Lake woman. Messenbrink was charged in the aftermath of that incident, and arresting in Minnesota before he was transported to jail in Mason City to await charges and a trial.

You have to take all Clear Lake charges with a grain of salt. Last time they charged a Dentist from Las Vegas, “formally of Clear lake” the judge had to admonish the police for making bogus charges.
