Wanted Northern Iowa man busted with drugs and ammo in Minnesota

BLUE EARTH, MN – A wanted Northern Iowa man was busted with drugs and ammo in Minnesota.

On April 23, 2022, Minnesota authorities from the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office and Blue Earth Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a Swea City man in the City of Blue Earth.

Jessie Cassidy, age 35 of Swea City, was arrested and charged with third degree drug possession and possession of ammunition as a convicted felon. Both are felony charges in Minnesota. Cassidy also has three active warrants out of Kossuth County for Possession of Controlled Substance Violation (Class B Felony), Failure to Affix Drug Tax Stamp (Class D Felony), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Simple Misdemeanor).

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, this traffic stop lead to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office executing a search warrant on April 24, 2022 at Cassidy’s residence, located at 103 Ash Ave. East in Swea City.

The Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the search warrant and investigation by the Iowa State Patrol and the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office.
