MORGANTOWN, WV – Iowa State dropped a Big 12 conference road game to West Virginia, 70-65, Friday night.
Iowa State (1-4, 0-2) led 31-30 at halftime and built a nine-point lead early in the second half. The game featured 16 lead changes and seven ties. Iowa State led in the game until there was under one minute to play, when West Virginia (7-1, 1-0) took a 64-63 lead and held on.
Iowa State next plays at home on Sunday, Dec. 20 at noon versus Jackson State.
