Floyd County Community Foundation Grant application now available

WATERLOO – Grant applications can now be submitted to the Floyd County Community Foundation (FCCF) for its 2019 grant cycle. The online grant application may be found on the FCCF website at www.floydccf.org. The deadline to submit applications is 11:59 p.m. on Monday, September 30, 2019 and must be submitted by the deadline to be considered for funding. Grants are awarded to projects in the following areas: art and culture, community betterment, education, environment, health, historic preservation and human service. Grant recipients will be announced in December 2019.

FCCF is an affiliate of the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa and first-time grant applicants should contact Dotti Thompson, program manager for the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa, at (319) 243-1358 prior to submitting an application. Grant applicants must be a 501(c)(3) designated organization or a government entity serving Floyd County in order to be considered for funding.

A public grant writing workshop will be held on Tuesday, August 20, at one of two times, 3:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m., at the Charles City Public Library (106 Milwaukee St., Charles City, IA). A panel of FCCF members will discuss changes to the 2019 grant cycle. The panel will share what they look for in applications and will offer time for a question and answer session. Workshop attendees will also hear from Dotti Thompson who will provide grant writing tips and best practices. RSVP online at www.cfneia.org/floyd-workshop.
