MASON CITY – A Mason City burglar struck a plea deal to felony burglary and will spend up to five years in a state prison.
The sentence was handed down on December 19, 2022, by judge Colleen Weiland upon 27-year-old Jesse Keenan Rafael. He entered a guilty plea to felony B third-degree burglary after he victimized a home and a man on West State Street in Mason City back on May 28.
Rafael, who has a lengthy criminal record in Iowa, now awaits transport to prison.
