EAGLE LAKE — Minnesota State University head football coach Todd Hoffner was booked into the Blue Earth County jail at 12:40 p.m. Tuesday on requested charges related to child pornography.
Jail booking records for Hoffner cite the statute relating to child pornography crimes.
A Blue Earth County deputy and Eagle Lake Police were at Hoffner’s home early Tuesday afternoon.
Eagle Lake Police Chief Phil Wills said he couldn’t comment on the case, but was assisting Blue Earth County in the investigation.
“I’m just here assisting and doing whatever I need to do,” Wills said.
The home is located at 404 Perry St. in Eagle Lake.
Hoffner was escorted off the MSU football practice field last Friday and has been placed on administrative leave at the university and the university has made no further comment.
