NIACC basketball schedules set

MASON CITY – The NIACC women’s basketball team opens the 2021 season on Jan. 20 at Iowa Central. 

Due to COVID-19, the NJCAA has moved the basketball season to the spring semester. 

NIACC, which has won the last two NJCAA Region XI titles, will play a 20-game ICCAC schedule. All of the NJCAA Division I and NJCAA Division II teams in the conference will play each other two times. 

Crossover games between Division I and Divison I schools within the league count as league games. The Division I and Division II schools will still play separate regional tournaments. 

NIACC’s home opener is set for Jan. 23 against DMACC. 

NIACC’s 2021 schedule 

January 

20 – at Iowa Central; 23 – vs. DMACC; 27 – at Kirkwood. 

February 

3 – vs. Southeastern; 6 – vs. Iowa Western; 10 – at Marshalltown CC; 13 – at DMACC; 17 – vs. Iowa Central; 23 – at Southeastern; 25 – vs. Iowa Lakes; 27 – at Southwestern. 

March 

3 – vs. Ellsworth; 6 – at Northeast CC; 10 – vs. Kirkwood; 13 – vs. Marshalltown CC; 17 – at Iowa Lakes; 20 – vs. Northeast CC; 27 – at Iowa Western; 31 – at Ellsworth. 

April 

3 – vs. Southwestern.
