WRIGHT COUNTY - Three people are dead in Wright county after a Mack truck collided with a BMW.

WRIGHT COUNTY – Three people are dead in Wright county after a Mack truck collided with a BMW.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, the accident occurred on a rural road in Wright county on November 21. At 7:05 AM that morning at Hancock Avenue and 160th Street near Holmes, a Mack semi truck driven by 20-year-old Braxton William Matthew Murphy of Eldora, collided with a 2007 BMW 525 with three occupants. All three were killed in the impact or died before first-responders arrived on the scene. The only named deceased individual thus far is Jorge Marih Lopez Lopez, age 27, of Britt.

The collision remains under investigation.

Assisting the Iowa State Patrol were: Clarion Fire, Clarion EMS, Wright County Sheriff’s Office, Wright County Emergency Management, Wright County Medical Examiner and Ewing and Foust.
