Judith was born October 20, 1946, in Granville, Iowa, the daughter of Ray and Gertrude Budden.
She married Donald Gralapp on April 24, 1968, in Granville. The couple celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary in April 2026, building a life together centered on their family, Catholic faith and involvement in the community.
Judith held a variety of jobs during her life. She began as a beautician and served customers from her home before later working at Home Federal Savings and Loan, Kossuth Regional Health Center and the West Bend Golf and Country Club.
Retirement did not mean slowing down. Judith continued working at Homestead and particularly enjoyed the friendships and conversations she shared with others. Regular coffee gatherings with friends were another treasured part of her life.
Judith also gave generously of her time as a volunteer. She assisted Hospice and the local food pantry and was involved with Catholic Daughters of America and Ladies Aid.
Her Catholic faith remained an important part of her life and helped guide her commitment to serving others in West Bend and the surrounding community.
Family, however, was at the heart of Judith’s life. She treasured her many years with Donald and took great pride in her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Judith is survived by her husband, Donald Gralapp; daughters Carrie Johnson and her husband, Albert, and Kendra Ness and her husband, Todd; grandchildren Zach Johnson, Nate Johnson, Lawson Ness and Lexi Ness; great-grandchildren Nyah Johnson, Crue Johnson and Camryn Johnson; brother Kenneth Budden; and extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Gertrude Budden.
