NIACC received goals from Harry Holland on a penalty kick in the first half and Jack Doyle with 22 minutes, 32 seconds remaining in the contest.
Doyle’s goal proved to be the game-winner as the Trojans completed the season sweep of DCTC. The Trojans nipped DCTC 2-1 in double overtime in the season opener in September in Rosemount, Minn.
NIACC (7-6 overall, 4-4 in the ICCAC) returns to action Wednesday at home in a non-league match against Hawkeye CC. Match time is 3 p.m. on the NIACC pitch.
Meanwhile, the NIACC women’s soccer team snapped a 7-game losing skid with a 5-0 victory over DCTC in an ICCAC match Tuesday afternoon on the NIACC campus.
NIACC received three first-half goals from Lena Oliver and cruised to its first conference victory. The Lady Trojans (4-7 overall, 1-6 in the league) also received goals from Jessica Altman, Olga Oliver and Isabella Lago.
NIACC completed the season sweep over DCTC. The Lady Trojans opened their 2017 season with a 7-2 nonconference win over the Blue Knights on Sept. 2 in Rosemount, Minn.
NIACC returns to action Wednesday with a home nonconference match against Hawkeye CC. Match time at the NIACC pitch is set for 1 p.m.
Hawkeye CC stopped NIACC 6-2 in the ICCAC designated match on Sept. 20 in Waterloo.
