Road worker hurt when medical condition causes driver to enter construction zone

RURAL WORTH COUNTY, IOWA – A construction worker was hurt when he was hit by a passing vehicle as he worked along Interstate 35 in rural Worth county.

The accident took place Tuesday, June 6 at about 12:53 at the 207 mol marker of northbound Interstate 35 in Worth county. Dean Ward McFadden, age 60 of Shakopee, Minnesota, was driving a 2004 Sterling semi northbound on Interstate 35 through a construction zone when he had an undisclosed medical condition. The left lane of the roadway was closed, and workers were present. McFadden lost control of his semi and struck a road construction vehicle, that had workers on it. One of the workers was thrown from he vehicle and suffered minor injuries.

Isaak Delgadillo Cervantes, age 27 of Denison, Iowa, was hurt and taken by Lake Mills ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Mason City for treatment.

Remember years ago when college students had these summer jobs to earn money to go to college ? Now the state imports foreign workers to take these jobs – look around when you see these crews – see any home growns ? Phony liberals.

I worked road construction on summer when I was 18. Everyone was local (to the company). A few college students but most of us just worked. Now a days college kids want nothing to do with skilled labor positions or manual labor. They’ve been brainwashed into thinking that their liberal arts degree will find them the perfect job. Sad
