Plymouth man caught drunk driving for second time

PLYMOUTH, IOWA – A Plymouth man was taken to jail Friday night for drunk driving.

A Cerro Gordo county deputy stopped a vehicle at about 9:11 PM Friday, March 11 near 19970 290th Street in Plymouth. Behind the wheel was a convicted drunk driver, Marcus Anthony McKinnon, age 23 of Plymouth. The deputies at the scene conducted an investigation and arrested McKinnon for second offense operating while intoxicated.

Mckinnon was guilty of first offense operating while intoxicated last after another stop and arrest by Cerro Gordo deputies. He had lost his license due to this conviction. Due to this circumstance, McKinnon was also charged Friday night with driving with a suspended license, no registration on his vehicle, driving while his license is denied and failure to file for SR-22 insurance.

McKinnon was taken to jail, booked and he then posted bond as he awaits a court date.
