Oakbrook Apartments in Rockwell

ROCKWELL, IOWA – Law enforcement went to the alleged source of a marijuana odor Thursday evening, but slow-footed tenants thwarted their investigation.

Cerro Gordo deputies responded to a caller who said there was a marijuana smell coming from the Oakbrook apartments in Rockwell, located at 504 South 4th Street.

Deputies report that they located the smell and did “a knock and talk.”

Allegedly, the “occupants were slow to answer the door but did consent to a search of the apartment. The odor was confirmed but nothing found.”

No arrests or charges seem to have been filed as a result.
