According to Waterloo police, on Monday, March 25, 2024, at approximately 2:47 PM Waterloo Police responded to a report of shots being fired at 2701 Falls Ave. The investigation into this incident resulted in an officer involved shooting at 1204 Hartman Ave, with one male being declared deceased. No further description of the incident was available.
The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation has been called in to investigate the incident.
The officer has been placed on critical incident leave.
