MASON CITY – A nice crowd was in downtown Mason City Monday for the Wright in Central Park event.
Food vendors from Coffee Cat, Ruby Tuesday, Birdsall’s Ice Cream, and others were on hand. Live music from Worldport, hands-on kids activities and free tours of The Historic Park Inn Hotel were offered.
The event, held from 11 AM to 3 PM, celebrates the first anniversary of the opening of the hotel and the architectural treasures in Mason City.

The writer must mean that the “crowd” was acting nice, as, as you pointed out there was certainly a lack of them (meaning people). Mason Citians just have a problem supporting anything, they just haven’t learned the Democrat mantra, “It takes a village!”
Oh, come on, where’s the people…not in any of these pictures and even less if you visit the Globe’s web site. Don’t try to make it what it wasn’t!
