CLEAR LAKE – A Mason City man and a woman are in jail Saturday night after a Clear Lake cottage was allegedly broken into.
Shawn William Armstrong, age 40, and Jamie Rae Carpenter, age 35, both of Mason City, were arrested by Cerro Gordo county deputies Saturday at about 2:18 PM after police had been notified that two subjects had broken into a cottage located at 15204 Linden Street in Clear Lake.
Armstrong was charged with public intoxication and criminal trespassing.
Carpenter was charged with felony second degree burglary and criminal violation of a no-contact order stemming from a petition for relief for domestic abuse. She has been charged twice before for violating the order, being found guilty once.
