North Iowa woman arrested for probation violation

MASON CITY – A woman twice accused of theft faces having her probation revoked.

Lillie Glennen, age 50, was wanted in Cerro Gordo county after after the Iowa Department of Corrections filed a report in Cerro Gordo County District Court claiming that Glennon had violated terms of her probation that was imposed after a deferred judgement from a charge of fourth degree theft. The charge was filed by Mason City police in September of 2013 after being accused of stealing from Shopko. She received a deferred judgement and a year of probation. She owes Iowa courts $806.39 in fines and fees.

A warrant was issued for Glennon’s arrest on December 31 after the probation violation report was filed. Osage police picked her up on January 10th and she was transferred to Cerro Gordo County Jail. Joseph LaPointe was appointed at state expense as her lawyer. She faces a court hearing on January 21, 2014.

Glennon was found not guilty of theft from Wal-Mart earlier in 2013.
