MASON CITY – If you beat up your mate, a judge might send you to class – and it’s not a good idea to skip out.
Nathan Lee Juenger, age 31, was ordered by a judge in November of 2014 to attend a batterer’s education class as part of a guilty plea to first offense domestic abuse assault. He had faced felony domestic abuse assault involving strangulation. As part of the plea deal, he was sent to jail for 7 days, ordered to pay $211.88 in court costs and ordered to complete the class.
However, in addition to never making a payment on his balance owed to courts, Juenger allegedly never made it to class, prompting a warrant to be issued for his arrest on March 1. Juenger was booked into the county jail Thursday and is being held on bond until a court hearing is set.
Juenger was arrested back in November of 2014 on a charge of felony domestic assault that involved strangulation after Mason City police were summoned to the area of 1st SW and South Jefferson Avenue to investigate a domestic situation. His guilty plea came a couple weeks later.
Juenger is no stranger to charges after violent episodes. He was charged with felony going armed with intent in 2003 in Mitchell county. He later pled guilty to assault with intent to cause serious injury. He paid a fine and court costs.
Additionally, Juenger is still awaiting a court date after a 2012 arrest by Manly police for drug possession. No action has been taken in over 2 years in that case, court records show.

The fuse just keep burning shorter on this ticking time-bomb. Its only a matter of time before he kills someone.
It took authorities 16 months to send him to jail for missing classes?
