MARSHALL COUNTY, ALABAMA – An illegal alien is facing a serious charge after he allegedly raped a child, and she gave birth due to the crime.
On February 19th, 2025, the Marshall County Criminal Investigations Division received a report involving a minor who had given birth. After investigating the complaint, a felony warrant was obtained on February 25th, 2025.
In the evening hours of February 25th, Marshall County investigators, along with the Marshall County Drug Task Force, and in conjunction with U.S. Department of Homeland Security arrested 26-year-old Manuel Andres Francisco (Tomas) (pictured at top) of Albertville, Alabama, for the charge of Rape in the First Degree. He is currently being held in the Marshall County jail with no bond pending an Aniah’s Law hearing.
Additional charges are expected.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office thanked the Marshall County dispatch center, Marshall County Drug Task Force, Marshall County District Attorney’s Office, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for their assistance in this case.
Sheriff Sims stated, “We have determined the offender is here illegally and are working with Homeland Security to obtain a detainer due to his immigration status.”
