RURAL FLOYD COUNTY – A one-vehicle accident Tuesday night left a Mason City man shaken but not seriously injured.
The Floyd county sheriff’s office tells NIT that on Tuesday evening, January 26 at about 5:33 PM, 18-year-old Jordan Dreher of Mason City was involved in a one-car accident. The accident took place near the 205 mile marker. Dresser was westbound when he lost control of his 2000 Ford F-250 due to icy road conditions. His truck overturned and came to rest in the median.
Floyd county deputies arrived on the scene. No injuries were reported, but the truck was a total loss.
According to a social media post, Mr. Dreher said he was “Was going back to mason from (Charles City) on the avenue and (hit) a sheet of black ice i was going about 55 and spun me right into the median hit a drift and it ramped me into the air fliped the truck and came down right on the cab.
“Praise the lord and thanks to the angles on my side. Thank god i came out ok.”
