Mason City drunk driver caught with meth

MASON CITY – A woman convicted of drunk driving last summer was stopped while driving through Mason City and the officer discovered methamphetamine.

Judeane Marie Nicholson, age 54, was stopped by a Cerro Gordo deputy for an equipment violation near 7th Street and South Federal Avenue on January 28 at about 8:46 PM. During the course of the ensuing investigation at the scene, the deputy discovered that Nicholson is a suspended driver due to a drunk driving conviction from 2014. The deputy also discovered methamphetamine.

Nicholson was arrested and charged with driving under suspension and possession of meth and then to jail.

Regarding her drunk driving conviction from June of 2014, Nicholson still owes the entire $1,977.25 in fines and court costs.

Of course she owes for her fines. She has no intention of paying them and could care less that they suspended her license. She will just drive anyway.

There needs to be a county work camp where these scofflaws can go to work off their fines. They need to do menial jobs and work out in public so everyone can see them. They also need to wear a bright florescent uniform so they won’t be missed.

@Allen-They do that in the southern states but not up here. The unions claim they are taking away their work.
