MASON CITY – A Minnesota woman was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital Sunday evening after a two vehicle accident.
According to the Cerro Gordo Coutny Sheriff’s Office, Sunday evening at about 5:45 PM, deputies responded to a two vehicle personal injury accident on Highway 18 east of Mason City that occurred as a result of the weather conditions.
One female passenger, 51-year-old Carrie Rodewald of New Ulm, Minnesota was transported to Mercy Medical Center by Mason City Fire Medics. Rodewald was a passenger in a vehicle driven by John Meredith of New Ulm, MN. The other vehicle was driven by Nicholas Dietz of Nashua, IA.
No other information is available at this time, Sheriff Kevin Pals said. The accident is still under investigation.
