Mason City man allegedly crashes car, flees to home, arrested

MASON CITY – A Mason City man was recently arrested after allegedly crashing his car and fleeing to his home.

According to police, on August 17th at 1:48 AM, a caller reported a vehicle had crashed into a pole near 8th Street and North Carolina Avenue. The driver had abandoned the vehicle.

Officers soon located a suspect, Brady James Foster, 29, at his residence at 946 9th NE. Police said that an investigation tied Foster to the incident as the driver of the crashed vehicle.

Foster was arrested a short time later for OWI (1st offense), Failure to Maintain Control, and Abandonment of Motor Vehicle.

On 8-17-2013, at approx 1:48 am, a caller reported a vehicle had crashed in to a pole near 8th and N Carolina. The driver had abandoned the vehicle. Officers located the Brady Foster at 946 9 th NE (his residence) a short time later. The investigation tied Foster to being the driver.

According to records, a breath alcohol test given to a male suspect at 2:54 AM on August 17th by one of the arresting Mason City police officers registered 0.169. The legal limit is .08.

Foster posted $1,000 surety bond and was released. He had a court date set for August 26th.
