Restitution plan set for MC burglar

MASON CITY – A judge has set a restitution plan for a Mason City man serving a prison sentence for a violent burglary he committed last year.

Judge Gregg Rosenbladt recently set a re-payment plan for 57-year-old Brian Paul Glascock, who is incarcerated at the Iowa Medical & Classification Center until November 23, 2017. His meager earnings from his time in jail will be applied to a $2,113.73 unpaid balance he owes Iowa courts. He has paid $2.72 so far.

Police had responded late in the evening on April 20, 2013 to 804 North Federal Avenue when a male called and reported he was being attacked by Glascock, who had broken into his apartment. Glascock was transported to North Iowa Mercy Medical Center where he was treated for injuries suffered when the caller defended himself.

Glascock was arrested and charged with felony B first degree burglary but later pled guilty to felony C second degree burglary and was sentenced to 10 years in state prison and fined $1,000.
