Car salesman ordered to pay tens of thousands in restitution for stealing from MC dealership

MASON CITY – A judge ruled recently that a North Iowa car salesman must pay a Mason City dealership tens of thousands of dollars in restitution after a theft investigation.

Timothy Behm, age 54 of Mason City, was ordered to pay $103,344.64 on August 5, 2014 by Judge Rustin Davenport. This includes $92,285.35 in restitution for stealing from the Mason City Ford dealership.

After over two years of legal maneuvering and delay tactics for alleged crimes he and his family committed against their former employer, an agreement was reached between the state of Iowa and Tim Behm along with his brother, Scott Behm and father, John W. Behm, who were all employed at Mason City Ford before police escorted them out of the dealership on December 22nd, 2011.  A Mason City police investigator said at that time that the matter was “a financial investigation. It could take months to get to the bottom of it.”

After a long investigation involving financial forensics, a plea deal was reached, and Tim Behm agreed to a trial on the minutes in exchange for charges against his father John W. Behm and brother Scott Behm being dropped. Tim Behm  was originally charged with 23 felony counts of theft, forgery and fraudulent practice.

Behm’s trial on seven counts of theft was decided by the Judge Davenport.  Behm waived his constitutional right to a jury trial.  His defense attorney did not contest the charges, as part of the plea deal.  Tim Behm was found guilty on all seven counts of theft in the fifth degree.

The criminal case was prosecuted by Robert Sand, Assistant Iowa Attorney General, with the Iowa Department of Transportation, Mason City Police Department and Cerro Gordo Attorney Office participating in the investigation and prosecution of the Behm family.

Tim Behm is still in the car business.  Via social media, he lists his employment as General Manager at Pritchards Auto of Clear Lake.

Now they work for Pritchard !! HAHAHA

Wow! LaFrenz’s are the pot calling the kettle black! Ron LaFrenz fired last year for embezzling. They were given a multimillion $$ business and lost it! Behms didn’t do it – they did it to themselves. Ron was bookkeeper for cripes sake!

What a clown!

I herd he is a child molseter as well. This is a true bad guy. Snitch, thief and a child molester! Are any of the Behm White Trash family worth the dust I the sky? I live next to the people and they are drunk every night and they are swingers and I believe they have underage kids over there. He is a snitch, molester, thief!

With that snoz he could work for the incompetent EPA –

I still don’t understand how the Behm’s got away with this without going to prison? Did Tim ever repay all the money he stole?

Tim, his dad and brother are all part of the Behm organized crime family! These people are white trash professional thieves. Someone needs to visit his house and steel all the nice things they have that they have stole from all of us.

I heard the whole family resides there.

I wonder if they were also stealing from the former owner Gary Lafrenze as they all worked for him foreever ???

They were the cause of Lafrenze selling out. They destroyed his business.

I thought Gary retired several years ago.

Gary “retiring” is another word for being “fired”.

Pritchards is like any other auto dealership its the all mighty dollar that counts. “Get em in the butt man” is their motto.

you have to stick it to your friends because your enemies wont buy a car from you.

Pritchards what a joke. Tim Behm a thief. Scott Behm a sorry excuse of a man. John Behm what a hateful grumpy old man. I feel sorry for Gary and Ron Lafrenz Two good fellas that lost everything due to this family.

Piece of shit should be in jail

I wonder what motivated Prichard to hire him. I bought a used car at MC Ford and his brother Scott told me that every part of the car had been inspected and it was in fine shape. Two weeks later, the rear brake locked up and disintegrated. I had to have Grahm tire fix it and it was not a cheap deal. Not what I expected after buying a certified used car.

I will never buy a car at Prichards in Clear Lake as long as this guy is there. What are Prichards thinking? Is it that lying pays?

Figure it be about that much! This guy is a liar and now a certified Thief
