
On October 5, 2025, at 1:14 AM, the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of 330th Street and Balsam Avenue for an Iphone crash detection. Upon arrival, it was discovered that a 2019 Ford F250 driven by 21-year-old Benjamin Bonucci of Georgetown, Texas, was traveling northbound when he lost control and entered the west ditch. The vehicle suffered disabling damage and the airbags deployed.
As a result of the crash, Bonucci (pictured at top) was treated on scene by local EMS and suffered minor injuries. He was arrested on scene and transported to the Cerro Gordo County Jail on the following charges:
- 321.288(1) – Failure to maintain control

321J.2(2)(a) – OWI — 1st Offense
OWI 1st Offense, Possession of a dangerous weapon while under the influence, and Failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle.
