CHARLES CITY – A Nora Springs man who faced a felony sexual assault charge took a plea deal and potentially saved himself years behind bars.
Michael Ray Klink, age 43, is now in the Floyd County Jail after his plea deal this week. He had faced up to ten years in prison after being charged with felony C third degree sexual abuse. In a plea deal filed June 2, Klick was sentenced on July 28 to two years in prison with time served and ordered to pay $13,330.39 in fines, fees and other court charges. Klink must also register on the Iowa sex offender registry and submit to DNA profiling.
