
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE – The National Governors Association (NGA) today announced the new leadership of its Executive Committee for the 2014-2015 year.
The new NGA Chair Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper and NGA Vice Chair Utah Gov. Gary Herbert will lead the nine-member Executive Committee through which the association’s priorities and activities are determined. Other members include:
- Connecticut Gov. Dan Malloy
- Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad
- Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton
- Montana Gov. Steve Bullock
- North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory
- Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin
- Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker
The National Governors Association (NGA) is the bipartisan organization of the nation’s governors. Through NGA, governors share best practices, speak with a collective voice on national policy and develop innovative solutions that improve state government and support the principles of federalism.
The association:
- Provides a bipartisan forum for governors to exchange views and share best practices;
- Identifies priority issues and work with governors to establish bipartisan positions to influence key federal policies; and
- Develops innovative solutions to state policy challenges and provide tailored, technical assistance to governors.
