MASON CITY – A Mason City man was arrested for felony operating while intoxicated late Saturday night.
Timothy Dean Smith, age 23, was stopped by a Cerro Gordo deputy at 11:22 PM Saturday near Federal Avenue and 5th Street NE. He was charged with felony operating while intoxicated (third offense), driving while barred, open container and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Smith is awaiting a jury trial on June 3 for driving while barred. He has been arrested at least four previous times in Iowa for drunk driving.
