DAVENPORT – Five Quad Cities area women were charged with child endangerment recently after they knowingly left their children under the custody and control of a registered sex offender. Some of the incidents resulted in a sex abuse act being committed.
According to information from the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, in April, several law enforcement agencies completed an investigation and served arrest warrants as a follow- up to the recent sex abuse investigation at the Patriot Mobile Home Park in Davenport, Iowa. Upon conclusion of the warrants being served, residents at the Patriot Mobile Home Park received a neighborhood notification from a task force which informed them of all the registered sex offenders living in the mobile home park.
Charged were:
Jenni Marie Jenkins, age 29, a resident of Davenport with 1 Count Child Endangerment With Bodily Injury
Jessica Lee Epping, age 29, a resident of Davenport, with 1 Count of Child Endangerment
The case remains under further investigation.
