Garner man headed to prison for violating probation

MASON CITY – A Garner man is headed to prison for violating his probation related to a felony 1st degree burglary plea deal.

Jerry Alan Enslow, age 47, was charged with a Class B felony after entering the apartment of an ex-girlfriend and assaulting a man who was there on April 16, 2013. He was charged with felony D fist degree burglary, but instead accepted a plea deal of assault causing bodily injury and was placed on two years of probation.

On May 15, 2013 and again on November 8, 2013, Enslow was accused of violating his probation. The first charge was dismissed, but on March 24, 2014, Enslow was found guilty by Judge Joseph Straub, and the remaining jail term of 345 days was imposed.

Enslow is now being held in the Cerro GordoCounty Jail, awaiting transport to prison.
