AMES – The Iowa Department of Transportation has posted a request for proposal seeking sponsorship of Iowa’s 37 interstate rest areas. Entities may opt to sponsor one or more rest areas.
Sponsorship revenue will be deposited into the primary road fund to help offset rest area and highway operational costs and contribute to system improvements
Sponsorship will include signs placed along the highway near the rest area as well as inside the rest area facility. These signs will include identification of the sponsoring entity by displaying their name or logo/trademark.
