CERRO GORDO COUNTY – A North Iowa man was arrested Friday afternoon for operating while intoxicated and child endangerment.
According to a report, at about 4 PM Friday, James Albert Gray Jr., age 44 of Lu Verne, Iowa, was picked up by a Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s deputy on Interstate 35 near the 190th mile marker.
It was determined during the traffic stop that Gray was intoxicated. Two counts of child endangerment were leveled against Gray, as well.
Gray is being held in the Cerro Gordo County Jail on $5,000 cash-only bond.
A report indicated that Gray was charged with operating under the influence on June 2nd after he was stopped by a Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s deputy. He is awaiting trial on that charge this week.
Also according to reports, Gray was recently convicted of domestic abuse/assault causing bodily injury and given a deferred sentence in Floyd county. He was assigned 1 year of probation, a $315.00 civil penalty and $435.00 in court costs.
