After car egged, cop tells woman to wash car

eggMASON CITY – Getting your car egged in Mason City has happened to many residents, and catching the perpetrator is never easy for police.

On Sunday, a Mason City woman noticed her car had been egged and called police. An officer responded to talk to the woman, who lives in an apartment located at the 300 block of Yorktown Pike.

Likely facing the what seems to be a problem that has haunted law enforcement since it was invented, as no culprit was on the scene and with few clues available, the officer advised the woman to wash her car and call him back if there was damage.

Eggs are known to damage the finish on automobiles if left unattended for more than a short time.
