State College, Pa. – Iowa had just enough Thursday night to slip by a pesky Penn State squad who hadn’t won a Big Ten game all season.
Iowa earned its first win at Penn State since 2006 with a 74-72 victory. Roy Devyn Marble scored a team-high 21 points, his second straight game with at least 20. Marble has led the team in scoring six times this season.
Iowa scored 38 points in the first half, the most by Iowa in the first half in Big Ten play and the most since Coppin State (40) on Dec. 22.
Iowa shot 44.4% from the field for the game, and improved to 13-5 when shooting 40 percent or better from the field.

Iowa freshman point guard Mike Gesell scored 16 points, the fourth time he has reached double-figures scoring in the past six games.
Iowa held a 40-29 advantage on the boards.
Iowa is now 16-9 overall and 5-7 in the conference. The Hawkeyes will face Minnesota at home on Sunday.
