SAN DIEGO – The University of Iowa women’s basketball team defeated San Diego, 83-73, to win the 2012 Maggie Dixon Surf N’ Slam Hoop Classic at University of San Diego.
Jaime Printy set a new career-high with 33 points and also tied the Iowa school record for 3-pointers made in a single game with seven. Printy made 7-of-12 3-point attempts.
The Toreros led 35-33 at halftime.
Jaime Printy and Morgan Johnson were named to the all-tournament team.
Iowa improves to 11-3 on the season and faces Ohio State at home on January 3rd in their next game.
