Carmelo Anthony’s 33 points were enough to eclipse Nikola Pekovic’s 21 points and 17 rebounds as the New York Knicks held off the Minnesota Timberwolves Sunday in Madison Square Garden, 96-91.
Anthony lead a fourth quarter barrage, scoring 19 as the Knicks trailed for most of the game.
Kevin Love, Minnesota’s top player and Olympian, sat out the game with an eye injury.
The Wolves fall to 13-12 on the season and face the Houston Rockets at home next.
