MINNEAPOLIS – Ricky Rubio returned to the Minnesota Timberwolves lineup Saturday night and helped lead a 114-106 overtime victory over the Dallas Mavericks.
Rubio blew out a knee last year in a game against the L.A. Lakers and has been rehabbing ever since. Over 18,000 fans packed the Target Center in anticipation of Rubio’s return.
Nikola Pekovic led the Wolves with 21 points. Rubio had 8 points, 3 steals and 9 assists in 18 minutes.
All-star forward Kevin Love did not play.
O.J. Mayo led Dallas with 20 points.
