CHARLES CITY – A Charles City man faces numerous charges including felony domestic assault after a violent incident this weekend.
According to Charles City police, officers were called to the 1200 block of Grove Street for a possible domestic situation. After an investigation, 38-year-old Chad Motz was arrested for operating while intoxicated, open container, reckless driving, felony domestic assault involving strangulation, interference with official acts and two counts of assaulting police officers.
Motz was released from jail on June 23. He awaits a July 7, 2014 court date. A no-contact order was imposed against Motz involving the alleged victim.
