CHARLES CITY – On Thursday, October 18, the Charles City Excellence in Education Foundation (CCEEF) created an endowment fund with the Floyd County Community Foundation (FCCF), an affiliate of the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa (CFNEIA). This endowment fund will create an availability of capital to ensure the ongoing financial support of the CCEEF. Donations to CCEEF have always been tax deductible. In addition, Iowa residents who donate to the FCCF endowment fund benefit from a 25% state tax credit.

The Charles City Excellence in Education Foundation was established in the early 1990’s as a tool to help assist in the educational process and to benefit students of the Charles City Community School District. CCEEF has gained significant momentum over the past few years. Because of several well-attended and highly successful fundraising events, CCEEF grants made during 2012 will reach record levels. The mission of the CCEEF is to support the Charles City School system providing financial help for students and staff through grants, scholarships, and support for special projects. The organization partners with the Charles City school system, community, alumni, businesses, and individuals to provide enhanced opportunities for students and staff beyond traditional sources. The CCEEF is currently managed by a board of 9 individuals who have a deep interest in local students and their education.
