MASON CITY – A wrestling meet was held Thursday at Mason City High School gym starting with Middle School matches at 4:30 pm.
With Garner, Waverly-Shell Rock, Hampton, Newman, Clear Lake and Mason City Schools all in the gymnasium, there was a lot of action going on.
The crowd was cheering on their favorite wrestler and town, teammates and friends were encouraging as well.
Good sportsmanship was being shown everywhere. As wrestlers got done, their opponent would say “good job” and shake hands.
Big brother and wrestler, Dakota Osegara, was showing younger brother, Dallas, a couple of his moves and telling him some suggestions. Soon afterwards, Dallas wrestled and won his match.
