Juco Women’s Basketball: Southeastern 67, NIACC 41

BURLINGTON, Iowa – The NIACC women’s basketball team dropped their second straight conference game in a 67-41 loss to #16 Southeastern Community College on Wednesday night.

Kika Greenlee (Fr., Saint Louis Park, MN) was the only player to reach double digit scoring for the Trojans with 23 points. Jennifer Nelsen (So., Mason City, IA) was the next best scorer with six.

Southeastern was in control for the course of the game, leading 36-22 at half and outscoring NIACC 31-19 in the second. Hazaria Washington scored 16 points to lead the Blackhawks, while Breanna McCullough added 15 points and Mariah Duke scored 13 points.

NIACC, now 10-8 overall and 2-2 in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference, will next host DMACC on Saturday at 1 p.m.
