Jacqueline Ray Soat, the daughter of Jim and Carol (Barfoot) Moffitt, was born on February 14, 1956, in Estherville, Iowa. She passed away at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD on October 19, 2024, at the age of 68 years.
Graveside services are pending at Oak Hill Cemetery, Estherville, Iowa. A celebration of life service for Jacqueline will be held at a later date.
She graduated from Estherville High School. Jacqueline lived in the Estherville area most of her life, spending 17 in Spirit Lake before returning to Estherville in 1997.
Jacqueline worked in telemarketing for many years before working at the school as a custodian. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her children, driving through Ft. Defiance and around the lakes, gardening, yoga, deep breathing, crystals and tarot cards. She also loved her cats dearly.
She is survived by her children, Jamie Soat of Estherville and Jacey Soat of Spirit Lake; a grandson, Gabriel Nathaniel Soat; sister, Holly (Greg) Van Langen; and her parents, Jim and Carol (Barfoot) Moffitt.
Jacqueline was preceded in death by her brother, Marlon Moffitt, and her grandparents, Clarence and Gladys Moffitt, and Earl and Beatrice Barfoot.
